A man with a camera who wants a view of course. Dune du Pilat is the highest range of dunes in Europe rising to a heady 120m. The view is incredible, the sand is silky soft and your feet get buried at each step. A perfect combination of heat, walking on grains of what is effectively glass, providing a sensory massage to the feet that isn’t expected.

In addition to all this, is the anticipation you get of what’s over the next little mound. Just that little bit further will get you another great shot. You just have to endure the pain and get there. You end up with a collection of images taken in the heat of the day, at moments you least expect.

Following in the footsteps left by invisible beings who have also trodden the path, it’s simply vast, sole burning yet thoroughly invigorating.
